On 7th November 1906 at the Borough of Luton Magistrates Court, Harold Fountain (a child apparently under the age of 12 years having been born as far as has been assertained on the 10th day of July 1896) of Luton is this day convicted that on 3rd November 1906 in the borough aforesaid did unlawfully & feloniously steal take & carry away a purse & the sum of fifteen shillings & 10 pence in money, the goods & chattles of Lizzie Hockley. It is adjudged that the defendant be sent to the Borstal Certified Industrial National Nautical School of Portishead to be there detained until he is 16 years of age. Signed Geo.
