  • Title
Printed letter 'Reply to Dr Soper' sent to some of the editors of the Bedfordshire Press by Albert B. Street, Ezra M. Street, C. H. Inskip, F. G. Simms and Alfred J Bromwich. The letter is in response to 'a message from Dr Donald Soper which has apparently been sent mainly to Liberals and Non-conformists in Mid-Bedfordshire'. The reply refutes the idea that 'socialists have a monopoly of Christian values' and suggests that the Hydrogen Bomb will be safer in the hands of Sir Anthony Eden than 'Dr Soper's friend, Aneurin Bevan, whose attacks on the United States are more likely to antagonise a powerful ally than to unite the nations of the world'.
