    I am an assistant in the employ of Mr Harry Lawson a Bootmaker in Manchester Street Luton. On 3rd February 1911 at about quarter to six I examined my stock and was nissing 2 pairs of boots. Shortly afterwards Police Constable Bone came into the shop with one of the boots, now produced, I identified it as one of a pair belonging to Mr Lawson. The value of the boots produced is Seven shillings & 11pence & are one of the pairs missing from my stock, signed Frederick William Arnall. George Driscoll an assistant to Mr Arthur James Gent, a pawnbroker of High Town Road Luton says; On Friday 3rd February just after six o' clock in the evening the prisoner came to the pledge office & offeredto pledge the boots, now produced, he asked Four Shillings , I had some suspicion & declined to take them. I sent for the police & Police Constable Bone came & took the prisoner into custody. Signed George Driscoll I am Police Constable in the Luton Borough Police Force. On 3rd February 1911 at 6-20pm in consequence of a communication I received. I went to Mr Gents premises & took the prisoner into custody & charges him with stealing the Boots, produced, He said all-right. Signed james Bone.
