Extracts from Gesta Abbatum Monasterii Sancti Albani largely to do with the church of Luton. This work about the abbey of St Albans was based on an account of the achievements of its abbots which was compiled and enlarged by Thomas Walsingham (c.1340-c.1422), who supervised the scriptorium at St Albans until 1394. The book was edited by Henry Thomas Riley and published in 1867
