Scale: 32" to 1 mile = 1" to 2 1/2 chains Parishes: Wymington, Souldrop and Sharnbrook Exact distance - 34 miles 73 chains to 38 miles 66 chains This plan shows the deviations to be made to footpaths and additional land required for depositing spoil required over and above that shown on the 1852 plan. The amendment is dated 2 Dec 1856 and the land so required is marked with yellow stripes. Landowners: John Goosey; Duke of Bedford; Reverend J W Hawkesley; Admiral Robert Gambier; John Gibbard This is the type of plan used by the engineer and by the railway agent negotiating the purchase of land in the district. It is much more detailed than "plans deposited".
