- Scope and Content- on 1 Apr 1675 TM or Thomas Whincopp of London, merchant, would convey to WF for £620 (a) closes or arable and pasture and woods in Cranfield in continued occupation of Edward Doo containing 68 acres; (b) a cottage in Cranfield in occupation of Edward Doo; (c)[lacuna] acres of customary lands held of Manor of [lacuna]; - the money would be paid to TM as follows: 20/- at ensealing of these Articles of Agreement; £319 on 1 Apr 1675 at the making of the assurance, at Middle Temple [Middlesex]; £300 on 1 Apr 1676, at The George, Baldock [Hertfordshire], which sum was to be secured by mortgage by demise for £1,000 on 1 Apr 1675 until its payment on 1 Apr 1676 Witnesses: Charles Dymoke; Marke Lewis; Thomas Whiting Note: Marke Lewis, on behalf of TM, had agreed with Richard Roe for the building of a barn on the premises and WF would pay for the barn to be built
