    At Bedford General Quarter Session held 16th October 1912 he was convicted that on 1st August 1912 he did steal a knife, fork, basin, spoon, razor, a case, tea caddy with 2 ounces of tea, a pair of trousers and 3 keys the good & chattles of James Sharman. He the said Joseph Baker having been previously convicted of felony.He was ordered to be imprisoned & kept at hard labour for nine months.
