Letter reads; I have the honour to forward you the appended Resolution passed at the Annual Assembly of the Bedfordshire Union of Baptist & Congregational Churches. with which 43 churches are affiliated, having 5513 communicants; this assembly learns with deep upset that at the last meeting of the Quarter Sessions it was decided to raise this year only one half of the Compensation Levy. It therefore urges that in view of the large redundancy of licenses still existing in the County, Quarter Sessions should levy the maximum amount, & trusts it will do so next year.
