Scope and Content
Original offices were two storey with a dome, designed by Sir Reginald Bloomfield. WR Steel removed the dome and portico, added a top floor, built an additional building at the rear and the new factory behind the screen wall along Leagrave Road with piers and blind windows.
T & E Neville were the builders. Bernard Henman related that WR Steel was difficult and sneaky - he had the heating turned on too soon causing the joinery to crack.
