    1) George Nodes of London, citizen and merchant tailor of London, John Nodes of Southill, gentleman, 2) Button Wingate (son & heir of Edmund Wingate of Ampthill, esquire, deceased), 3) to Robert Yarway, citizen and merchant tailor of London. Recites Indenture dated 12 Feb 1652 wherein Edmund Wingate, Button Wingate and Henry Chester for £600 paid to Edmund Wingate did grant bargain sell demise and to farme let unto Rose Aspley of London widow - all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances situate lying and bieng in Woodend in the parish of Wootton and one close of pasture there unto adjoining containg by estimation 6 acres and all that tile kiln situate and being in and upon the same part of the said close which were then in the occupation of Jonathan Argent or his assigns and all that close of arable land called Great Stockens containing by estimation 9 acres and 3 roods one other close of arable land called little Studley containing by estimation 8 acres, one close of pasture called Little Stockens containing by estimation 6 acres 1 rood one other close of pasture called the Sheepe's Croft containing by estimation 5 acres and one other close of pasture called the Charnock Close containing by estimation 5 acres and one other close of pasture called the hither half close containing by estimation 28 acres which premises are also lying and being in Wootton and were then in the tenure of the said button Wingate or his assigns for Rose Aspley to have and hold unless Edmund or Button Wingate or Henry Chester paid £618. The money was not paid and the demise in law became absolute. And the said premses and estate have become settled in George Nodes and John Nodes and the said Robert Yarway has contracted to buy the said premises (amongst other things) as well for the the remainder of the said term for the sum of £4,100 whereof £550 is paid unto George Nodes and John Nodes and £3550 residue is paid to Button Wingate. 1) and 2) sell to 3).
