    1) Edmund Wingate of Ampthill, esquire, & Button Wingate (son & heir apparent), and Dame Rachell Cambell of Clayhall (Essex), widow, 2) to Robert Yarway, citizen and merchant tailor, of London -- A messuage in Wood End in Wootton; a close of pasture adjoining containing 6 acres and a tile-kiln therein; a close of arable called Great Stockens, containing 9 acres 3 roods; several closes of pasture, viz Little Studleys containing 8 acres; Little Stockens containing 6 acres 1 rood; Sheepes Croft containing 5 acres; Charnocks Close containing 5 acres; and the Hither Half Close containing 28 acres [no details] - recites a) Indenture of 12th February 1652 between i) Edmund Wingate, Button Wingate and Henry Chester of Ridgmont and then of Astwoodbury, Bucks and ii) Rose Aspley of London widow, for land as described above, then in the tenure of Button Wingate or his assigns for the term of 99 years with the proviso that if they pay Rose Aspley £618 on 14 August next at the dwelling house of Robert Yarway in Great Wood Street, London the said indenture would be void. The sum was not paid and the premises became forfeited. b) Indenture of 14 December 1653 in which Edmund Wingate, Button Wingate and William Flewellin, citizen and tallow chandler of London (who became interested in the premises by his intermarriage with the said Rose) bargained, sold and set over to Dame Rachel Cambell as well as the said messuage, closes and parcells, all estate right tithe and interest of the said William Flewellin by virture of the said indenture of lease for the remainder of the 99 years. Now Dame Rachel Cambell, by special instance and request of Edmund and Button Wingate and in consideration of £500 paid by Robert Yarway to her, grants, bargains and sells, assigns and set over to Robert Yarway as well as the recited indenture of lease and the messuage etc all estate right title interest benefit proxy payment and demand whatsoever of Dame Rachel Cambell for Robert Yarway to have and to hold for the remainder of the term.
