Based on the company name of the photographer and directories, the photograph was taken between 1898 and 1904. The photograph depicts two teaching staff (one male, Mr Hampton (the master), and one female, Mrs Hampton) and 43 children (23 girls and 20 boys). According to labels on the back of the photograph, Florence Kendall is situated 2nd from right on the top row and that Howard Sharpe is the 3rd boy from the right on the 3rd row.
