General Evidence I 25-28. However, location of originals is unknown. [The note on the CRT indicates the originals are in Bedfordshire Archives but they do not appear to be listed and being concerned with the family members rather than the property they are more likely to be at Woburn Abbey.]

Covenant (headed Bundle I no 25) 'i) the rt. hon Francis Lord Russell baron of Thornehaughe son and heir of William late Lord Russell baron of Thornhaughe decd., one of the sons of Francis late earl of Bedford and Margaret his wife decd. ii) Edward Earl of Bedford, Lord Russell son and heir of Francis late Lord Russell decd., one other of the sons of the said Francis late earl of Bedford and Margaret his wife COVENANT by (i) in consideration of the natural love which he has for (ii) and to settle ........ messuage park and tenements for (ii) and his assigns to stand seized in ....... all that capital messuage or cheife mansion house of Woborne alias Abbottes Woborne and all of the houses, buildings, orchards gardens and other appurts, and in the Park of Woborne whereof the said Lord Russell is seised for term of his natural life "the Immediate revercion or remainder thereof to the said Earle for terme of his naturall life expectant" to the use of (ii) for the term of the natural life of (i)' one copy signed Fra Russell one copy signed E.
