- Scope and Content“Mr Morgan Williams is a clerk very well off with only a wife and two girls about Bessie’s age, but he will not pay, he used to promise Willaim but never paid when, and as, he ought. Mr Slade wants to know whether he is to put him into the county court - he owes £32.3.4. I will hand the cheque to Mr Winter for Mr Graham and tell him about the printing etc. The two tenants for the bonded stores are E B Jukes & Co £20 and Clements and Co £8. I have just received from John Clayton of Moreton a PO order for £5. 8s. 6d will you please enter it in the book; he deducts 1/6 for order and tax making in all £5.10s. Many thanks for your kind advice and letters Bessie & I will try what we can do. I heard from Fred this morning their holidays commence the 12th of next month; do you know whether any of the boys stay at school during the vacation and if so, do you not think they had better remain to save the expence of travelling.”
