Identifies handkerchief stolen from his house on Sunday when his family were at church and he was in his yard, but handed back to him on the Monday morning by John Dyer. Information of William Allen, brother of Thomas Allen, of Houghton Conquest, yeoman. Saw Jospeh Haines go to the back door of his brother's house. Information of John Dyer of Houghton Conquest, labourer. Met Haines who asked him to buy a handkerchief because he 'was quite broke ... and had not had any victuals all day.' Examination of Haines: confesses.
