- Scope and Content'Went to the corner of Tom Wren's house at the bottom of Tavistock Street and found Francis Lowin, James Lowin, James Belcher, John Burr, Joseph Butt, Daniel Smith and Joseph Poulter there - Belcher, Burr and Butt had their faces discoloured and their clothes changed. Smith's dress was changed, Poulter was disguised in a sort of oil skin covering; Lowin was not disguised. Lowin and Butcher had been shot. I said to Lowin "Frank, let's have a look" he shewed his face and said "Blast him, lets go up again." I went away and went to the George IV and Lowin came in soon after and said he and two more went over Gray's stile to Mr Gregory's to meet the pitch barrel ... and in running down the street to catch it they all three got shot ...'
