Examination of Robert Hill, regarding the riot on 5th November. Saw the pitch barrel just as they set it on fire against the Crown ... saw John Burr and John Cox help to roll the lighted barrel away ... 'I did not know any more of them; they were so funnily dressed - and some of them had their faces blacked and coloured.. Burr wore a round frock and waggoners hat and Cox had got a round frock and a cap.'
