Scope and Content
Went to the house of Edith Saunderson of Biggleswade, widow, where Joseph Crawley and James Taylor lodged, with the purpose of assisting in taking a distress for rent due to William Larkins. While there he found a pound of coffee in the prisoner's sleeping room, which was later identified by Joseph Heath as coffee stolen from his shop. This and some cheese was handed to the constable, William Farrington. Taylor was taken into custody. Crawley was later taken into custody.
