- Scope and ContentWent to church on Sunday to ring the bell for morning prayers; Charles Simkins, William Jepps, John Hare, William Cox, Thomas Cox and John Farrow, labourers, came to him in the belfry and displayed 'riotous, noisy and disorderly conduct' particularly by 'disturbing the teachers of the Sunday School and also ... the children who were assembled in the church for religious education whereby they were prevented from going on with the proper business of the day.' He fetched the churchwarden John Trustram but they paid 'no obedience when he cicily desired them to cease from ... such disorderly conduct.' John Jepps and Charles Francis, teachers of the Sunday School, Margaret Flint, teacher of the felmale school.
