Scope and Content
Mr Hollis senior gave them a cheese which they placed in a haulm rick and left. The kept watch; on the third night they saw Richard Arnott of Tillbrook, labourer, come with a basket and bag to the rick and put his hand into the rick five or six times. Hollis rolled off the rick on to Arnott. Arnott said he had only come for straw to light the fire: Hollis allowed him to take some and go.
