    " The ondley way that will enable me to pay aney thing towards the parish, would be to cause such means that may best inable me to accomplish the same. I have to solisit of the honble chaireman, and others of his majesties justices in this coart assembled, to take in into your most serious consideration, to devise such meanse, that may be best conducive to inable me to accomplish the same, the ondle plan possable that whould inable me to make acknowlidgement to the parish, as far as my small pittianc will alow of, and more I cannot pay, the sargant and corprell of my partey will be answerable for my apperance after the wooman is berought to bed, and this aloam will in my opinion and I hope in yours be the most condusive to asertaine th best sattisfaction, to the parish if the parish even confine me here even if it ware posable for 20 years still this whould not give them the least satisfaction. I have now been in his majesties service 9 years and upwards and fought hord the battles of my king and countrey and at no period in my life ware ever confined upon aney othere ocasion before what soever. Not being a native of England and no friend in the countrey, neither can I expect aney I beg to leave the whole of my case to your most serious consideration hoping you will devise such meanes that will liberate your partishoner to make the best sattisfaction to the parish and the most condisive to the laws of the countrey for which your humble partishener will ever pray."
