Introduction:
The following material consists of photographs from the County Architect's/Property Department with little or no accompanying written documentation. They comprise collections of photographic material used for project publicity purposes, exhibitions (eg school design, Civic Trust Awards, architectural competitions etc) and other stray material emerging from processing the Department archives.
Photographs of land/buildings by the Department are found in other classes of its archives (eg CA2 and CA8). These illustrations have not been dissociated from the written material to which they belong and added to CA19 which class has been created for the specific material mentioned above. The number in partenthesis behind each individual entry refers to the number of photographs for that entry.
Scope and Content
CA19/1-119 (Acc 21606). The following descriptions apply to all photographs (the number of which for each entry is indication in brackets) listed unless otherwise stated - they are black and white, less than or equivalent to 10" x 8" in size, and depict external views. Non photographic material is indicated in the list entries.
