Examination of Richard Croot of Sutton, labourer. Met John Gilbert in Sutton on the 1st May who said he would go to St. Neots fair as he 'thought he would have something to carry with him because he stole three ducks from Mrs Manns? [Munn?] the night before and ... sold them to Mr [William] Meeks of Potton for half a crown.'
