    Examinations and depositions: Information of Sophia Saunders, Leighton Buzzard, daughter of William Saunders, victualler at the George Inn. Identifies pint pewter pot found by John Kempster, constable of Leighton Buzzard in the lodgings of Henry Heavestaffe, as one which was lost from her father's house about a month before. Information of John Kempster who went to see Henry Heavestaffe after he had declared that he saw four men stealing a pig and a quantity of meat from a butcher's shop 'some time ago'. He found the pot marked J.A.P. on a shelf at his lodging, when asked how he came by it, Heavestaffe said he found it in a lane. John Kempster then left and went to see Joseph Proctor who said that the initials were those of his cousin who had lived at the George Inn and he thought the pot belonged to Mr Saunders who had taken his effects.
