    Examinations and depositions: information of John Duncombe, Houghton Regis, constable. Searched the house of John Evans, Houghton Regis, labourer in which Felix Mead lives and found 36 counterfeit shillings. Examination of John Evans. Felix Mead lodges with him. He went with him to Leighton fair. Mead exchanged a horse with Baker at Tring for another horse and gave Baker money in exchange. Examination of Felix Mead. He took the shillings from a man who buys poor horses at Leighton fair, he does not know the man but received £3 in silver for a horse he sold him. John Duncombe further examined said that Ann Barns, Chalgrave had receive a counterfeit shilling from Felix Mead in payment for some apples.
