    On returning, they were missing. Suspected servant boy William Huckle. Took him to a magistrate, searched him, but could not find the coins. Willim Huckle eventually told them that it was William Panter who had stolen the money. William Panter was sent for and confessed to taking the money which he said he had hidden in the thatch 'over my father's door on the outside next the street.' Various people went to the house of William Panter's father and the constable, Thomas Wells, took out a purse containing the two half crowns and other coins.
