- Scope and Contentreciting surrender of his copyhold lands in Shillington of 17 Dec 1681 to uses of my will to Elleyne my wife 13 acres of copyhold land in Aldicke Field next Stondon and my copyhold land in Windmill Field for life, but if my son Thomas Elmer pay her £10 per annum then he shall have said copyhold lands to Elleyne my wife all my household goods; the new hall adjoining to my house in Shillington and the little cherry orchard for life, and after her decease to my son Thomas to Elleyne my wife 2 loads of firewood every year and the house late of John Clarkes for life, and after her decease to my grandchild William Elmer to Elleyne Elmer my daughter £180 to John Elmer my son £150 to Thomas Elmer my son all my freehold land except what is devised to my son William Elmer and his sons to William Elmer my son £20, and the house and close where Thomas Flint now lives for life and then to Thomas his son, my grandchild to my son William Elmer that little stock he has in his possession and the grain growing on the land that belongs to the house where he lives; and 1 long cart 1 dung cart and a pair of wheels and the grey gelding, only his mother to have the gray gelding when she has an occasion for him to Thomas Elmer my grandchild son of William £5 when he is 12, and £60 when he is 21, and 40 shillings per annum till he is 21 or else to have 3 acres of arable in Asingwell hill and 1/2 acre in Tine hill in Stondon Field to William Elmer my grandchild son of William £60 when he is 21, and 40 shillings per annum till he is 21 or else to have 6 acres of arable in Chissell piece and 1/2 acre in Tine hill in Stondon Fieldwife Elleyne and Thomas Elliner executors witnesses.
