    a) Lease. 1) John Skinner late of Wilden now of Clapham, farmer. 2) Edward Peacock of Oakley, farmer. 1) has bargained and sold to 2) - two cottages or tenements now converted into and occupied as one dwelling house by the said John Skinner, with the close of pasture belonging and small cobb or island separated from the said close by a small watercourse situate in Clapham containing by admeasurement 2 roods and 29 perches, late int he tenure or occupation of Thomas Cradock and John Arnold bounded on part by the turnpike road on the other part by premises now or late belonging to Whitbread Cox on other part thereof by the River Ouze and on the remaining part by a close called Spencers close now or late occupied by William Eling. Signed and sealed John Skinner. b) Appointment and release. 1) John Skinner late of Wilden now of Clapham, farmer. 2) John Whitwell of Great Stukley, Hunts, gent. and James Wilkerson of Roxton, farmer, executors of George Rowles late of Great Barford, gentleman, deceased. 3) Edward Peacock of Oakley, farmer. 4) William Day of St Neots, gent. Recites: - Lease and release of 14/15 May 1813 between the Rt Hon George Earl of Ashburnham and the said John Skinner and William Dobson of Sandy, yeoman. Consideration £933 9s. Recites indenture of 23 March 1813 between i) Earl of Ashburton, Charlotte countess of Ashburton ii) Hugh Duke of Westminster and Peter Lord Gwydir. Property described as two cottages in the occupation of Thomas Craddock and John Arnold with close, cob and watercourse, bounded by road, other premises then of the Earl now to Whitbread Cox, river and premises sold by the Earl to John Moore Howard and now or late occupied by William Eling. - Mortgage dated 11 May 1820 between John Skinner and George Rowles and default of payment of principal sum of £500. - Death of George Rowles on 2nd Sept 1821 leaving a will appointing 2) as his executors. - 3) has agreed with 1) to purchase the hereditaments described for £300 and 2) being satisfied that the residue of the hereditaments in the indenture of mortgage are sufficient security for the repayment and interest have agreed to release them. Now 1) releases to 3) with the agreement of 2). Covenants for exclusion of dower and to produce deeds. Signed John Skinner, John Whitwell, James Wilkerson, Edward Peacock.
