    reciting part of will of William Henry Whitbread has settled the estates thereunder in a deed of 4 Sep 1867, of which Charles James Conway-Mills is the sole surviving trustee to said Charles James Conway-Mills all estates in Bedfordshire purchased since said deed, in trust reciting marriage settlement on marriage [of SCW] with Juliana Brand, of 22/23 Jun 1824 all estates subject to said settlement of 1824 shall be to use of my son Samuel Whitbread forever, desiring he convey them to Charles James Conway-Mills as trustee - leasehold public house known as the Marquess of Westminister in Belgrave Road, Middlesex, to my son William Whitbread - leasehold messuage and premises, 49 St. Georges Square, Pimlico, Middlesex, leasehold stables at 79 and 81 St. Georges Square Mews and all household furniture, books, household goods, stable furniture and implements (except carriages, horses, harness and saddlery) at the same, to my daughter Elizabeth Whitbread - leasehold coach house 22 Lowndes Square to my daughter Gertrude, wife of said Charles James Conway-Mills to John Barlas McLaren who is now in my service my Purdy gun with the cases to my son William all my plate and plated articles used by me and my daughter Gertrude in my house at Cardington to my son Samuel all my furniture, books, articles of household use at my house at Cardington and all my horses, carriages, saddlery, harness and stable furniture, my live and dead stock, farming implements, corn, hay, etc., at my house at Cardington or other [of] my settled estates to my son Samuel all my wines and spirits, household stores and provisions, horses, etc., at my residences at Southill and Purfleet, and all my live and dead stock etc., and all rents and arrears of rent to my son Samuel all my shares in - Bedford Race Stand The Regents Canal Company Drury Lane Theatre The Shefford Gas Company The Bedford County School all the household furniture, books, etc., at Southill and Purfleet to Charles James Conway-Mills in trust to permit them to be held as heirlooms; an inventory to be made reciting settlement of 23 June 1824 of £5,000 3% Consols on children of my marriage: said investment to be held in trust for my children William, Gertrude and Elizabeth £10,000 part of my share in Whitbread & Company, brewers of Chiswell Street, to my son William, according to the terms of the partnership deed to my wife Lady Mary Whitbread £1,000 to Richard Worsley of Chiswell Street, my co-partner and one of my executors £300 to my son Samuel £10,000 to my son William £40,000 to my daughter Gertrude Mills £40,000 to my daughter Elizabeth £30,000 to my granddaughters Lady Mary Coke and Lady Mildred Coke, daughters of the Earl of Leicester £5,000 each to John Barlas McLaren £200 to Mary Collins now in my service at Southill £50 to Rachel Davies now in my service an annuity of £100 to Elizabeth Collins now in my service an annuity of £40 to Mrs. Jane Brooks formerly in my service and now resident at Southill an annuity of £30 executors to set apart a sum of 3% consols for said annuities residue of real and personal estate to son Samuel debts due from my brother in law Charles Viscount Eversley, Thomas Crosbie, William Lord Dacre, Henry Bouverie, and William Brand, speaker of the House of Commons, are not to be called in till 3 years after my death executors - Samuel Whitbread and William Whitbread my sons, and Richard Worsley, who are also to be trustees of all estates vested in me as mortgagee or trustee witnesses.
