John must feel queer having nothing to do because he has a busy life out in Singapore but expect he will be going round looking at farms. ‘They have a big cream American car but of course have come up against the petrol situation. John drove it up from Southampton when they landed – he looks much the same but is now very dark – he had fair hair as a boy. Jennie is rather pretty. Joyce has a committee meeting.
