  • Scope and Content
Added Gill to regular correspondents – she is at Royal Wanstead School (orphanage) as 2nd cook. Was confirmed at St Martins in the Field last year as at 21 could decide for herself. ‘I’m so glad you enjoyed your day as much as I did I wish they could happen oftener. Yes there is quite a lot goes on at the Nurseries & it looks so different now with the concrete roads & pathways everywhere & the old blacksmith’s shop turned into an office makes the corner with Joes old house opposite rather a charming spot.’ Comments on flowers in bloom. Raspberries look promising but as will all be away 11-25th July shall have to ask Mary to see to them. Went with Mary and Giles to see the film of the Coronation ‘it was lovely to see it all in colour’. Also saw the service at St Paul’s.
