Thanks for help with verse and music to 'Watercresses' Joyce has sent it to Frank Collinson don't know if he will make use of it. Still improving details of what she is able to do. ‘Sister departed yesterday after 8 weeks and we all heaved a sigh of relief. I will say that her nursing was quite all right….but a very trying person to have in the house…’ Expecting ‘Malaya’ in November hopes able to get them a house 'there is plenty of rroom here but we just cant stand the racket of young children for long now - When the Eustace's used to come home on leave they always brought to servants but fares are so prohibitive now one cant afford to do that Also I think it is more difficult to get servants out there now - Thyra said in her last they hadn't been able to get a cook...' Joyce has an invitation to go to the school when Princess Margaret presents prizes many parents irate at not being invited - Geof for one. Thanks for sending crochet work for fete. Resigned from Mother’s Union when taken ill having done it for 23 years. Sad to think of Puttenham church with no support from the farmers but it was mostly Chapmans, Deverells being non conformists in the old days. Glad about Tom ‘he has managed his affairs very well…’ Hopes Totternhoe young people all well ‘Robert must be 15 now? Richard was 14 yesterday & Bill 48 today. Frank, Mary and Giles have just had a week at Bexhill. Lupins have been nice but are getting over, roses coming on well, likes Wanda primroses better than the mauve ones.
