    Haven’t had any chickens this year but have bought 6 young pullets. Frank and Mary bought some and they are laying, they also have 30 cockerels to fatten. ‘Franks part now takes in all the farm buildings & back paddock where the 2 new greenhouses are (old sheep yard) & old stable field, so he is trying to make all the use he can of the farm buildings & yards. The builders have started on his bungalow…’ Giles begins to take notice. Joe went to Luton to hear Mr Churchill. Going to be a fete of sorts. Black and red currants to be picked ‘I have the fruit now for my perks’. Bought tweed in Ireland had some sent and came with duty to pay. Description of part of holiday in Ireland.
