Richard to be christened on Sunday - Richard Thomas. Church was burgled ‘someone got through the window on the left of the porch and emptied two boxes. Mrs Davies has gone to Switzerland for a month. Still has the church plate. ‘Joe, M and I went to see the Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel on Tuesday eve – quite good – but I like the Scarlet P better I think.’ Grass is nice and green but the flowers are poor this year.
