Have had some grand weather this year. Miriam’s work for spastics. Mr Stevens has died. Sorry to hear of the accident ‘these motor bikes are a menace – and so many young lads have them now. I am thankful none of ours have them & hope they wont, but Richard drives the car now & expect Christopher soon will he is old enough but his father hasn’t encouraged him so far because he did not want him to get on the roads till he was old enough to be a bit careful – whereas of course Richard learned a lot by driving the tractor. Colin can drive, he too has done some tractor driving on the farm next to them at Roxton…’
