Glad Edith & Daisy had been over. Sleet storms on Wednesday. Surprise visit from Elsie on Sunday morning. ‘She seemed much better than when I left Puttenham and I hope when we get some nice weather & longer days they will both begin to feel themselves again – tho’ they will long feel the miss…’ Had thought about the miniatures. Glad about the furniture. Tom’s share doesn’t seem as much as Ernest’s. Hopes Tom will get The Folly. Long cold spell mauve primroses only just full out instead of a month ago. Janie going to Annie’s for a week, does not look well will be 70 in August and can get pension so hopes she will retire then. Village tea and jumble sale.
