‘Today is lovely after the damp gloomy weather we have had lately and indeed for sometime, I think a little sunshine would cheer us very much.’ Wants to go to London with Edith to get some things for the Folly. Min & Edgar came the day she went to Aylesbury. Doesn’t know if Edgar thinks about buying his farm – it is advertised in the Farmer and Stock Breeder this week. Doesn’t fancy Ediths carpet much but has agreed to have it. ‘Fancy Willie joining the Corps, not just yet though, what a regiment you will have, but I hope there will be no war, when this is past, but when will it be over. I expect Joyce and George & all of them will be grown out of knowledge George in suits. Hope you like you coat & skirt now & that the chickens are thriving’
