  • Scope and Content
I am writing a few lines at last. I am sure you will think me unkind not to write oftener but I have only worries to tell you and I’m sure you have your share. I am sorry Mrs Bell has been so ill I do hope she will be better soon, how ever do you manage. I was so pleased to get a letter though I don’t deserve one. I do really think you will be an accomplished farmer presently, I am glad of it, it is well to know such things one never knows what you may want…I am not feeling very well just now, and your letter was cheering. You will see Percy I think he looks a little better. We had Joubert[?] and Croupe[?] here the other night and it was all war. Elsie says Connie Wilkins goes to school this term as they have not got a governess – did not you see the advertisements in the Bucks Herald and for a morning Gov- If you could have done both, I wonder who it was. I have a few chickens 20. The horses have nearly all got influenza. I must leave off as they are starting with best love from your affct mother EFC’
