    Has been waiting for letters from Bessie and Minnie. Percy has a bad cold, Uncle John in a very bad way afraid he is quite breaking up. ‘We are to have dinner or supper for the men and women to celebrate Miss Turner’s 21st birthday, if all is well on Friday next [5 Dec 1913]. We have not thought much of her hitherto but perhaps we may know them better. I was so pleased to hear Janie Fulks got the place, I do hope she will suit there.
