Letter from Emma Chapman to Bessie Godber. Thanks for generous present for Elsie. 'Then again such a beautiful wreath. What a strange thing it seems I cannot seem to realize it on Sunday from my bedroom window I watched Netta and Edith walk up from church together' [Annetta Jane Chapman died suddenly on Monday 3rd March 1913]. Has not been out much due to chill on the liver and Bronchial trouble. 'This as put other things [presumably a reference to Elsie's wedding] off for a bit but you will no doubt her again as soon as any arrangements can be made' Hopes baby’s cold is better.
