Letter from Emma Chapman to Bessie Godber. Doesn’t think they should have the piano back [it was a wedding present] might be useful for the children to practice on. Supposes they shall have a wedding this spring ‘though I cannot realize it. I am glad to think the young man is a sensible sort of a fellow…best to arrange quietly without any fuss…Elsie hopes to come and see you after a bit when the weather is better..’ Neighbours planting golden yew and other trees, Dad has ordered some golden privet. He has a cold.
