    (i) John Manley of London, mercer, 2nd son of William Manley of Bedford, gentleman, deceased (ii) Elizabeth Hardin of London, widow, one of the cousins & coheirs of James Codd of East Malling, Kent, esquire, deceased (iii) Francis Brace & Thomas Sayer of Furnivall's Inn, gentlemen on the marriage of (i) and (ii) -- the manor or mansion house situated in West Cotton, Wilstead, in the occupation of Richard Bedcott close of 20 acres, and close called Sheepcoate Field, 31 acres, adjoining messuage Pye Quarter close, 39 acres, adjoining above the Leasure, 5 acres 80 acres in the common fields of Wilstead and West Cotton tithe on the same cottage in West Cotton, in the occupation of Widow Wells; late the inheritance of William Manley, and by will 1705 devised to wife Lettice for life, then to son John; charged with payment of £100 -- 1/4 manor of Clam or Cleham, and other property in Kent, late the estate of James Codd witnesses.
