    to wife Alice for life, house & pightle where testator dwells in Wilstead Cotton End; and rest of goods and chattels except cupboard; then to John Woodcroft, son of John Woodcroft of Wilstead, charged with 40s each to Elizabeth & Anne Watts, daughters of Luke Watts, late of Cardington; John Woodcroft is also to have said cupboard "to be a standard to the house"; to sister Anne Woodcroft £3 at age 21; to poor of Cardington 10s annually on St. Thomas day; wife Alice shall not marry nor bring any man into the said house to dwell with her upon the forefeiture of £10 to be paid to niece Joan Woodcroft; wife Alice executrix; witnesses.
