    (i) George Hicks senior of Shefford, surgeon John Field of Polehanger, Meppershall, yeoman James Crouch of Cainho, Clophill, yeoman (devisees of William Wright, sole executor of Thomas Fage) (ii) Charles Wright of Chicksands Lodge, yeoman, surviving son & heir of William Wright (iii) Samuel Whitbread of Bedwell Park, esquire -- a capital messuage in Stanford, 40 acres, 10 1/2 acres, etc., as before; a cottage in Stanford with close of 4 acres 53 1/2 acres in the common fields of Stanford; late in the occupation of Thomas Fage 21 lands of tithe-free arable in Southill in Moldish furlong, containing 7 1/2 acres exchanged by William Wright 1776 recites that William Wright as executor of Thomas Fage was seised of all the foregoing, and of 10 acres copyhold according to the custom of the manor of Laces alias Clifton; and the whole was let to Henry Pain as yearly tenant, rent £72 per annum recites also that the freehold, leasehold and copyhold land were put up by (i) to auction at the George at Shefford, and that Samuel Whitbread was the highest bidder recites that the copyhold land is surrendered by Charles Wright to William Burley of Hitchin, tailor, in trust for Samuel Whitbread witnesses.
