    (i) Thomas Alston, esquire, eldest son & heir apparent of Sir Rowland, of Odell, baronet (ii) William Shaw of Cheshunt, esquire John James Selby of Wavendon, esquire recites:- 4 July 1750, 27 July and 11 Aug: Orders of Chancery: Katharine Davies Bovey by next friend, Mary Shaw v. William Farrell & wife Elizabeth; relating to marriage settlement of Thomas Alston & Katharine Davies Bovey (Sir Rowland Alston's estates in Odell, Hinwick, Harrold, Charlton, Pavenham, Stevington; and in Yorkshire, Northamptonshire, Kent & Middlesex); includes remainder to 2nd son Rowland & £5000 under Sir Rowland's marriage settlement; Katharine Davies Bovey is entitiled to estate of £1100 and £4,500 3% annuities; articles of settlement: (i) Sir Rowland & son Thomas; (ii) Katharine Davies Bovey; (iii) William Shaw & J.J. Selby; (iv) Arthur Jones of Lincoln's Inn & John Barber of Middlesex; -- allows Katharine Davies Bovey either £1,700 per annum or disposal of her own property if she survive husband and issue; the Order in Chancery having been incompletely dealt with 'by reason of shortness of time before the Long Vacation'; witnesses.
