From Joseph Pawsey concerning the 'improper conduct' of Mr Alston's sons, gamekeeper and butler who have been seen shooting on Harrold Manor and Woods. (L30/11/215/134) 7. Concerning the fire at the Water Corn Mill which burnt down the mill but due to the efforts of the tenants of the Lucas property Manor Farm, did no further damage. (L30/11/215/155) 8. From William Rogers, churchwarden, to Thomas Brown, concerning the resignation of Rev Woodward who was found guilty with his daughters of conspiracy and proposing that the living be granted to Mr Morgan. (L30/11/245) 9. From Lord Grantham to his aunt, the Countess de Grey, concerning the Bishop's instruction to John Magenis, vicar of Harrold to increase the stipend of the curate from £100 to something higher which the law requires. The value of the living being less that £180 Mr Magenis has offered to resign which Lord Grantham believes is the correct solution and he suggests Mr Taylor may appreciate the offer of the living.
