Will move to Privy Garden in about a month. Writer has been reading Gil Blas ['Histoire de Gil Blas de Santillane', by Alain-René Lesage]. Makes comments. Pleased to hear Miss Mary Thompson is to be married 'according to her own advice and the approbation of her friemds to Mr [Claudius] Buchanan. The writer hears he is a great Oreintalist and an excellant man. 'How odd that all three sisters should have married men connected with India.'
