- Scope and ContentWriter hopes to be at Wrest before the end of October. Would be very happy to see Frederick's journal [Frederick John Robinson], particularly as unlikely to see him in person. Comments about Frederick's position [as private secretary to Philip Yorke, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland]. Sorry that Lady Hardwicke is detained by Lord Royston's lameness, which the writer had not been aware of till Lady Lucas mentioned it. It was fortunate that it occurred before he left this country, where he will have better advice and assistance than he would have found on his travels. Grateful for Lady Lucas' opinion of Mr [Joseph] Weber's book, [Memoirs of Maria Antoinette] and will not purchase it. Pleased Lord Grantham's Irish connections promise so well. Reference to play box.
