Has heard that Sir William Knighton was raised from his bed at two in the morning to pay a visit to Mrs Cocks, and at six she produced a boy, and is doing well. [Refers to Charles Lygon Cocks, son of Thimas Somers Cocks and Agneta] Reference to Lady Mexborough's sudden death - it seems she was only ill 6 hours of a paralytic stroke.[Elizabeth Savile, died 1821] Lady Pollington has arrived in Town on the occasion [Anne Savile, daughter in law of Lady Mexborough]. Another misfortune in that family is that little Lord Monson has had a fall from his horse and fractured his skull so that it is feared he cannot live.
