- Scope and ContentDined yesterday at St James' Square - pleased to see Lord Hardwicke looking so well. Mrs James Yorke reports that Lady Lucas has thoughts of paying her a short visit. She also expects other visitors, and intends going to Malvern on 2nd October. She seems to have settled to come to London after January. Writer is anxious about Mrs P Yorke [Anna Maria]. It is Henry Halford's opinion that it is nervous and what he has prescribed must do her good, but if comsumptive there is nothing to be done. Heard from young Philip yesterday that she is a little better, so hope it is a nervous complaint. Mrs Carew [Caroline Ann] has just added a boy to her number which makes number 6, and to Mr Carew number 13. [Possibly Gerald, born 1815] Mrs Antony Buller [Isabella Jane, nee Lemon] was confined two day ago of her 10th child, a girl [Possibly, Caroline, born 1815]
